Going to the show Fire Proof

My wife and I are going to see the movie Fireproof tonight at the Church of the Nazarene. They say that there were some things missing in the theatre that are included in the DVD. We normally do not go out to the show but when my wife saw the previews for this one we had to go. It is a must see movie, about marriage and the love of the flesh versus the love of Jesus. We didn't think it was going to come to small town North Dakota so we drove two hours to see it in Fargo. It was well worth the trip and made for an excellent date for Monique and I. We left Eliyah with my parents and enjoyed a date, just the two of us. It is one of three movies that a small church in Albany Georgia put out and the church members make up most of the cast. The other movies are Flywheel and facing the Giants two very good shows that are full of meaning. My wife and I were married in Cordele Georgia which is about a half hour from Albany, so there is a little special meaning for the two of us in that.

Scripture 03/07/09

today's scripture verse is Proverbs 1:33; But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely and shall be quiet form all evil.
Me here is talking about wisdom and in another place of scripture it say's that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It is good to work with your own hands honestly and uprightly as before the Lord himself and not unto man. We as the children of God must be diligent in all that we do to make sure the word of God is not blasphemed and beware of those that are out there to make gain in an unrighteous way. Today let us purpose in our heart to remember our Lord and savior Jesus Christ and follow after his example. He left heaven and walked among men, but not wanting to lift himself up as a physical king he endured the cross for our sake. We must live a life of self-denial and he will bless us. Forgive as you have been forgiven, love as you have been loved, and serve as your master has taught you to serve. Put him first and you shall have peace even in the evil day.

Greetings to the Blogging world

My name is Chad and this is my first time at blogging. My wife is a great help meet for me as to figuring all this computer stuff out. I am not really sure of all that one would write about in casual blogging but I am well persuaded that as I gain acquaintance with how it works this blog will develope into a unique page. I pray that it will be of some interest to you as a reader. I am interested in learning about all forms of construction work, and about farming i.e machinery and livestock. It is a dream of ours to one day acquire a small farmstead and have a good sized garden that bridges into the category of a field, and some farm animals including chickens, sheep, cows, goats, and whatever else the Lord lays in our way. I am currently 31 and hope to see this to be something I can pass down to my son. It seems that there is a danger of alot of information to be lost in a generation that is removed from the living off the land mentality.
